Wie bei einem Schachbrett...

...sollte man beim einflechten von Kunstdreads vorgehen.

Ich habe mich mal an eine kleine Skizze gesetzt, wie man ein Set Dreads ungefähr aufteilen sollte.
Je nachdem wie dick die einzelnen Dreads selber haben möchte, wie die eigene Haarstruktur ist und wie voll man sein Endergebnis haben möchte, braucht man für einen ganzen Kopf ca. 35 doppelte Dreads oder 60 mit Schlaufenende; bei dichterem Haar oder bei mehr gewünschtem Volumen natürlich mehr, wenn man eine große Ponypartie draußen lassen möchte oder Sidecuts/Undercuts hat natürlich weniger.
Es ist nicht wirklich ein Schachbrett, die einzelnen kleinen abgetrennten Partien sollten so übereinander liegen, dass sie einzelnen Scheitel nicht in einer Linie liegen, sondern versetzt sind, so wirkt das Endergebnis gleichmäßiger, es entstehen keine Lücken.

Außerdem ist es wichtig, mehr Fülle am Oberkopf zu bekommen, damit dort die Kopfhaut weniger durschimmert. Man beginnt also mit dem Einflechten unten und arbeitet sich mit immer mehr Dreads nach oben bis zum Pony/Haaransatz an der Stirn. Bei meiner Kopfform werden das immer 6 oder 7 Reihen, man kann leider keine allgültige Angabe machen, man muss da auch etwas herumprobieren...

Vorstellen kann man sich das in etwa so...

Like a chess board - no, not really.
I drew a little chart how to part hair for a set of dreads. Depending on the thickness of own hair and the fake dreads and how the structure of the own hair ist, you need round about 35+ Double ended and 60+ single ended dreads for a whole head. If your hair is thicker or you want more volume, chose more dreads. If you want to leave your bangs or a little more hair out or if you have side/undercuts, chose less.
It's not really like a chessboard, the parts of your hair shouldn't be linear, the partings should cross like shown in the little sketch. So it looks more even and there are no holes!

On top of that it's better to take more dreads for the top of your head, it helps the scalp not showing through. You begin braiding the dreads in with less dreads at the bottom, at your neck, and work your way up with more dreads till you reach your bangs or your forehead.
